Are you feeling caught up with all the noise and stress of day to day life? Whether it be the addition of a new baby, a recent loss, an upcoming move, change in career, parenting or life circumstance; life can throw us a few curves when we are least expecting it. In my work with clients, I aim to provide a peaceful and calm setting to take respite from the chaos of life and give intention to healing, learning and becoming more mindful. With this intention in sessions, we can recognize our internal strengths and build additional strategies to cope with whatever stresses are thrown our way. I chose the Wild fern as my business name because ferns are one of the most resilient plants in nature. They are very adaptable and grow in the most diverse climates. This strength and resiliency in the wild fern is a characteristic that I aim to support and help nurture in the clients I work with.
Hi, I am the owner and sole practitioner of Wildfern Counseling and Wellness. I am passionate about supporting individuals in healing, speaking their truth, and working on their personal goals. I aim to provide a supportive atmosphere where clients can feel seen, valued, and understood. In building a trusting relationship, client's can feel empowered to work through past hurt and build the mental strength to let go of negative thinking and beliefs that are holding them back. In teaching mindfulness skills, clients are able to make small changes in their daily routine, that increase overall calm and improve their mood. I especially enjoy working with clients in the perinatal period (Conception to the PostPartum period) and hold a certification in Perinatal Mental Health. Please fill out the message below, if you are interested in services. Please provide a brief description of services you are interested in and what insurance plan you would like to use. I try my best to return inquiries in the next two business days.
This group is located at the Sandy Community Center and starts on January 12th. Groups consist of 4 sessions. This group will provide an opportunity for moms to have a safe place to share, feel heard, validate each other’s experience in motherhood. It will be a place to build community, decrease isolation, and learn coping strategies to manage stressors related to parenting. This will be a closed group for the 4 sessions so participants can experience a sense of safety within the group. Babies in arms are welcome and encouraged to attend.
This 6 week group will be held at the Sandy Community Center. This is a safe place for teens to be creative, build confidence, and learn fun coping strategies to handle stress and anxiety. The teenage and young adult years can be exhilarating and also some of the most stressful times in one's life. As you are learning and building your identity it can bring on many challenges as you face the pressures of navigating your future. I find that the most impactful work can be done in this stage to help a youth experience clarity, calm and resiliency. I provide counseling for young people starting at the age of 13 with a signed consent from all legal guardians.
